ANSI B16.5 Class #150 Neck Flange
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
Neck (skirt) flanges according to the ANSI B16.5 / Class #150 standard are pipeline elements that are widely used in the construction of steel pipelines and pipe segments (spools) used in industry, industry, shipbuilding and ship repair.
They are easily distinguished from flat flanges by the long conical neck, which gradually transitions to a pipe or other fitting connected by butt welding. The conical neck provides a smooth transition to the diameter of the pipe, which reduces internal stresses in the material. The latter makes them very suitable for applications with elevated or lowered temperatures, as well as those with sharp mechanical or thermal fluctuations.
The inner diameter is shaped to match the diameter of the pipe, which reduces fluid resistance, as well as corrosion and wear from friction of the passing fluid.
We stock ANSI B16.5 / class #150 and #300 steel flanges, but can supply flanges up to class #2500, in a variety of materials. We have the necessary machining equipment, which allows us to also offer flanges with sealing surfaces.
• sealing surface type A, B2, C, D, E, F
• non-standard sealing surfaces on request
• profile grooves for metal sealing rings (segments) type RTJ
• threaded type flanges
• flanges made to customer specifications, and others.
SUPPORTED MATERIALS IN STOCK:
• Carbon steel ASTM A105 WCB
Dimensions: 1/2″ – 24″
The ANSI B16.5 Class 150 Neck Flange is a high-performance industrial component designed for secure and reliable pipe connections in demanding environments. Manufactured to meet stringent ANSI/ASME standards, this neck flange ensures optimal pressure handling and leak-proof performance, making it ideal for applications in oil and gas, chemical processing, water treatment, and power generation industries. Its robust construction and precise engineering guarantee long-term durability and compatibility with various piping systems.Key features of this flange include:Compliance with ANSI B16.5 specifications for dimensional accuracy and interoperabilityRated for Class 150 pressure, suitable for moderate-pressure systemsWelding neck design for strong, permanent connections and stress distributionAvailable in a range of materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy optionsExcellent resistance to corrosion, temperature fluctuations, and mechanical stressThis flange is engineered to facilitate easy installation and maintenance, reducing downtime and operational costs. Its smooth bore and tapered hub minimize turbulence and erosion, enhancing flow efficiency. Whether for new installations or retrofitting existing systems, the ANSI B16.5 Class 150 Neck Flange delivers unmatched reliability and performance, backed by industry certifications and quality assurance.
